Valve has launched a new online games platform for Mac. This beta version has launched today May 12, 2010. The purpose of launching such a platform is to interact the Mac loving users to play online games and also for sale of games. The new Steam for Mac beta platform by valve have large capacity of games.

The Steam for Mac beta client contains over three dozen of “Mac games,” all available today via Steam on Windows. This include The Dig, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and Loom, Sam & Max, Peggle Deluxe, Peggle Nights, and Bejeweled 2 and Team Fortress 2.

Steam, Valve’s online gaming store, will soon have a version for Linux. Let’s wait for it in the coming weeks.
